Quabbin Regional High School

Promotion Requirements:

The successful student will have earned the following number of credits in order to advance to the next grade.  Freshmen enter with successful completion of 8th grade and then must earn:

  • 35 credits to become a sophomore
  • 70 credits to become a junior
  • 105 credits to become a senior
  • 140 credits to graduate

A student should carry a minimum of 40 credits or 8 courses per year.  Seniors must carry 40 credits and pass 35 credits during senior year to graduate with their class.

Three semesters of one language is strongly encouraged, especially for college bound students, but none is required.

Students may take at anytime throughout high school as long as credits are earned before graduation.

Each semester of a World Language is a 5 credit course.
