QUABBIN REGIONAL MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL
GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
GUIDANCE
The Guidance Counselors in the Middle and High School Guidance Departments
assist students in realizing their personal/social development, and in
monitoring their learning environment. The Guidance Counselor serves as a
student advocate, assisting students with their educational, vocational and
personal endeavors. Guidance Counselors also work with students in helping them
prepare for continuing education, military and career pursuits. All students are
assigned a Guidance Counselor to help them make the most of their school
experience and assist them in setting realistic and attainable goals.
Students are encouraged to see their Guidance Counselor to discuss issues and
concerns by requesting an appointment in the Guidance Office. Counselors will
then make an appointment with the student in a timely fashion. Parents/Guardians
are encouraged to call their child’s Guidance Counselor with their concerns or
questions so that together they can work towards making the student’s school
experience a positive one.
